Lee Harper has labelled Kettering Town's home clash with Forest Green Rovers on Saturday as "must win". Tuesday night's disappointing 2-0 defeat at Altrincham saw the Poppies drop out of the Blue Square Premier play-off places. The weekend game against a Rovers side who are looking doomed to relegation is the first of three successive home matches with clashes against Mansfield Town and local rivals Rushden & Diamonds following on.

YORK City climbed back into a play-off position after an excellent 1-0 victory at Mansfield Town last night. The Minstermen claimed their first win in eight games thanks to Courtney Pitt's 61st-minute strike and, although Richard Brodie 's penalty was later saved, the visitors secured a deserved three points. Former City centre-back Luke Foster, now skipper at Field Mill, was also harshly sent off on 82 minutes.

CHELTENHAM Town's remarkable victory over Burton Albion was the club's first ever 6-5 victory in a competitive match since turning professional in 1932. Club historian Paul Godfrey's records show the last 6-5 scoreline the club played in was a friendly against the Royal Signals in 1945. "We may have seen a 6-5 during the amateur years, but I am still working on the records for that period."

Kwesi Appiah insists the Kettering Town squad are in a relaxed mood as the race for a top-five finish in the Blue Square Premier heads towards its climax. The Poppies are currently in possession of the final play-off place. But the likes of York City and AFC Wimbledon are breathing down their necks while Crawley Town and Mansfield Town will also still harbour hopes of a last-ditch run to make it into the top five.

I haven't really looked at the league table to be honest   -Kwesi Appiah

ALAN Marriott has warned defeat for Mansfield Town in tonight's clash with York City could end their Blue Square Premier play-off hopes. The Stags are ninth after the 0-0 draw against Tamworth on Saturday that saw the players booed off the pitch at Field Mill. If they are to finish in the top five, they need to make up ground quickly on their closest rivals, with the Minstermen among those sides. But while a win would be a massive boost for Mansfield, Marriott insists it is just as important not to lose.

I was saying to Jon Challinor about the Luton game and the same can be said about this one – it's a game we have to make sure we are not turned over in, even if we don't win   -ALAN Marriott

ANDY BURGESS tonight slammed the Mansfield Town boo boys who again game the team a hot reception as they left the field after the disappointing 0-0 home draw with Tamworth. Just a week after a Stags fan threw his season ticket at manager David Holdsworth when they were winning, today's result saw booing and a chant of 'what a load of rubbish' greet manager and players as they left the pitch. midfielder Burgess said: "I would rather they didn't turn up and we played in front of one man if that's ...

It is where we are and there are still a lot of teams above us we have to play and anything can happen this season which been shown more than any other league I have seen in which anyone can beat anyone.   -David Holdsworth
